The Beginners Course of the Northern Aegean Sailing Club is designed for those who want to take their first steps in sailing, learn how to handle a sailing boat, and build a solid foundation for safe and confident navigation at sea.

The program combines theoretical lessons with practical training on board, giving participants the knowledge, skills, and seamanship needed to understand sailing and actively participate as crew.

Training includes 20 hours of theory and 60 hours of practical training on modern sailing boats, under the guidance of experienced and certified sailing instructors.

No previous sailing experience is required. The course is suitable for complete beginners who want to start sailing in a structured, safe, and educational environment.

Open Sea License

Upon successful completion of the program and the required theoretical and practical exams, participants will obtain a skipper’s license for sailing boats up to 24 meters, issued by the Northern Aegean Sailing Club.

The license is internationally recognized and has no mileage limitations, giving graduates the opportunity to continue their sailing development, participate more actively as skippers or crew, and charter sailing boats for their own trips.

Complete Sailing Training

The course covers the essential knowledge and practical skills needed for safe and responsible sailing.

Participants learn the basic principles of sailing, navigation, sail handling, berthing, anchoring, communication at sea, safety procedures, and crew cooperation.

The aim of the program is not only to help students obtain a license, but also to develop responsible sailors who understand the sea, respect safety rules, and can continue gaining experience with confidence.
