Participation in the 47h Race “Greek Revolution”
The sailing tradition continues! As every year, the sailing season starts with one of the biggest and historical races in Greece, Hydra’s race. For the 47th season, H. O. R. C. is organizing this event of great significance as it follows the Greek Independence Day of 25th March. The race will take place from Saturday 27th of March to Monday 29th of March, in the Argosaronic Bay. Two legs of 36 miles will be realized from Athens to Hydra and back, with participation, as every year, of over 50 boats.
NASC will sail again this year and with our equipped racing boats NorthWind I, NorthWind II, NorthWind III we are ready to conquer the waves. As Hydra race is very well known, the competition is always quite strong. Nonetheless, NASC’s boats finished in the first ten places in the 2019 race, while NorthWind I won one 3rd place in the first leg.
Note: The meeting point of the crews is Marina Alimos, Athens. In order to participate, the boats will be transferred from Keramoti to Athens and back (crossing the Aegean and passing through Cavo D’Oro or Chalkida Bridge). Every person can manage their way of arriving in Athens. If you feel like joining us during the transfer, feel free to contact us.
Ways of participation
- Participation in the race individually (Fees: 300 euros/person)
- Ready and bonded crews may participate with one of our boats alone.
